In addition to vegetables that I've grown for over 40 years, I cultivated another annual for several decades beginning in 1972, while it was under "prohibition"- Cannabis sativa for a few years, and Cannabis indica after that.
I have written and self published a book about my experiences, not a primer on cultivation per se, as there are a multitude of those available. Instead, it is a collection of true short nature stories revolving around my hidden, clandestine gardens, the animal and plant life that I encountered while tending these gardens, and the changing landscape in my neighboring North Saco forests, fields, and swamps. Just received copies of the second edition- I have a half dozen in my 'honor' box on the side of my potting table. Help yourself. $10 each.
